Learn To Let Go Lyrics

I'll say what I want to say
I'll go find a better way
Won't throw my dreams away
If I cross the line and choose
Leaving you behind
Would you ever take me back?

I'll...

Learn to let go, drop my pride
Learn to let go, leave it behind
Find a way to break away
With hands held high
And I swear I'm going to try my best
To hold onto your word

My faith will decide the fate
You know is the better way
So strengthen me so I can wait
Say, if I cross the line and choose
Leaving you behind
Would you ever take me back?

And I swear I'm going to try my best
Try my best
Try my best
Try my best
Try my best to...

Try my best to
Stay

Song Description:
"If there is one thing that being in High Flight Society has taught us, it's patience. Like us, many bands work hard and pour their hearts into the music they write and perform, but their careers are ultimately left at the mercy of others. Before signing to our new label, things seemed to be at a standstill in the world of HFS. We knew that we were meant to be in this band and to be writing these songs, but seemed to be hitting a wall when it came to getting the music out there so that people could hear it. This realization was emotionally taxing and caused doubt to start creeping its way into our minds. Our human nature pressed us to try and do things our way so our dream would be reality, but God was reminding us to be patient and have faith. Eventually, we learned that we just had to let all the doubt and frustration go, try our best to hold onto the promises in his word, and know that God was in control of the situation. Writing this song was therapeutic for us and was in itself a way of letting go." - High Flight Society
