We had no lyrics at all when we first went in the studio to record the demo. I just sat down for ten minutes and wrote the first lines that came into my head, not expecting to keep any of it. We actually kept about 80 percent of those lyrics on the final version. A life with Christ is not usually one of great ease. Christ is with the poor, the hurting, the persecuted, and the unloved people. If you decide to follow Jesus, you have to realize that He just might lead you to some places of incredible conflict, to be a light there. (Marc Martel)
