Breaking Me Down Lyrics

Marc Martel / Jason Germain / Glenn Lavender

Break the balance down
That's no way to go about it
Beautiful the sound
I heard those shackles hit the ground
You got me drowning in Your ocean

Chorus
Love's breaking me down
Like waves to stone, over and over
Your love's breaking new ground
Changing my every way

Luke 19:1-10
The whole idea is that God's ways are complete opposites of ours. The world wants you to glorify yourself while Bible says that the humblest person will be the greatest in the kingdom of God. People sometimes just don't want to see God that way and they don't want to humble themselves. The song's about God's love breaking down all of my flesh, what I want to be, and all my worldly dreams. They're all really rags compared to the riches I can have with the Lord. (Marc Martel)
