Dancing With the Angels Lyrics
Memories surround me
But sadness has found me
I'd do anything for more time
Never before has someone meant more
And I can't get you out of my mind
There is so much that I don't understand
But I know...
Chorus
You're dancing with the angels
Walking in new life
You're dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you're dancing with the angels
You had love for your family
Love for all people
Love for the Father, and Son
Your heart will be heard
In your unspoken words
Through generations to come
There is so much that I don't understand
But I know
Chorus
Bridge
We're only here for such a short time
So I'm gonna' stand up, shout out,
And sing Hallelujah
One day I'll see you again
Chorus
Written by Trent Monk, Michael Neagle & Ed Cash
I first began writing this song seven years ago, after my great-grandmother passed away. It was the first time I had lost someone I loved, and I wanted to capture what I was feeling in a song. When we were in the studio putting this album together, Michael added some of his own feelings to the song about the death of his father, who had passed away about a year and a half before. This song expresses the loss that everyone of us will face at some point in our lives, but it also celebrates the promise we have as believers that we will see our loved ones again someday. - Trent Monk
