Song Description: "This was the last song I introduced to my home church in Rockford IL, (Masters Commission) before I got the infamous call congratulating me on my first Grammy nomination. It was then that I decided maybe I should in fact pursue singing. I never even thought to dream of it seriously before then. My favorite line in this song is "you are the truth that freedom needs". I had just been through a time in my life where I was concealing a lot of my own pain. It was out of a good heart that didn't want to hurt people or let them down, but it was hiding, or whitewashing sin, none the less. This song was me drawing the line to get honest once and for all. Christ said "the truth will set you free"...yet we still pretend. We encode with religious terminology like "Jesus is the truth and he will set you free," but we don't stop to think that just being honest, in itself is a deep freedom. Jesus is honesty "the truth that freedom needs." With this realization came some major life changing decisions that bettered my life and helped my character and integrity grow." - Sarah Kelly
