"If there is a personal anthem on this album, it is this song. The theme of this song is "your mercies are new every morning"...and the revelation of what that means. This song captures a key moment where I continued my journey from victim to victor, walking out of my past filled with self hate and abuse, into a new day. It's not surprising that I wrote this with 2 very close friends, Brandon Culvey and Matt Owens, at a very unexpected moment in life. We were touring in England, sitting in the back of the van, bored out of our minds, when Brandon started strumming, I started humming and Matt, well Matt was Matt! 30 minutes later the Chorus was done in its entirety. Boy do I wish all songs came out that easily. I guess we had all been living it, so it came out fast." - Sarah Kelly
