Hands and Feet Lyrics
An image flashed across my TV screen Another broken heart comes in to view I saw the pain and I turned my back Why can't I do the things I want to? I'm willing yet I'm so afraid You give me strength When I say
CHORUS I want to be your hands I want to be your feet I'll go where you send me I'll go where you send me
REPEAT
And I'll try, yeah I'll try To touch the world like You touched my life And I find my way To be your hands
I've abandoned every selfish thought I've surrendered every thing I've got You can have everything I am And perfect everything I'm not I'm willing, I'm not afraid You give me strength When I say
CHORUS
This is the last time I turned my back on you From now on, I'll go so Send me where You want me to I finally have a mission I promise I'll complete I don't need excuses When I am your hands and feet I am your hands and feet
Hands Feet Go
I wanna be your hands (I'll go I'll go where you send me) I wanna be your feet (I'll go I'll go where you send me) I'll go where you send me I'll go where you send me
I will go I will go where you send me I will go I will go where you send me I will go, go I will go, go I will go
Song Description: "I was watching TV and there was a mudslide in Guatemala or somewhere in Central America. The village had disappeared and I was stunned. I just started to think about how we could help and what we could do to become the hands and feet of Jesus one person at a time, loving on them, touching them and hugging them. 'Hands and Feet' came out of mission experiences. Tyler had the music for the song and I had the lyrical idea and we kind of pushed them together. Charlie Peacock co-wrote on that too. We had the tune and he picked up the tempo. It was more of a ballad at first and he kind of changed it a little bit and it became more of an anthem. So, a little nod to Charlie Peacock right there for sure." - Mark Stuart (Audio Adrenaline)
