I was going through such a hard time that these words just poured out as a prayer in one sitting. it wasn't one of those songs that come through bible study. it was one of those that come through tears! of course my theology caught up with my heart a few years later when I studied the kingdom of God and how God's kingdom is both present on earth [2 Kings 19:14-16] - and still coming [luke 11.2] ... I guess this song expresses that awareness a little bit as a personal prayer.
