I wrote this song near the end of the"My heart knows"recordings. I was in Nashville in my office at the piano and these interesting chords were taking place. I could envision the battle that goes on in the mind of Gods people. We can lose are place in line and our direction. We lose are courage which causes us to lose heart. And those arrows of "not measuring up" that Satan shoots at us can be overwelming. I always go runnng back to the Bible and to prayer for verification of what God promises are. I love the feel and the lyric of this song. I believe it really captures the struggle. The devil is hard at work reminding us that we are fools, and it is over for us. This verse comes to mind. "Therefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:13-17
