Wailing Wall Lyrics (Words and Music: Mark)
I wrote this song about a bizillion years ago. It was meant to be a metaphor for repentance...but mostly it's a swing tune with a really cool guitar solo.
They put the prayers in the holes where the bullets used to be They speak their piece about life, love, country, friends and family And the chosen people know it's the place to go Not far from the temple, just a stone's throw
Well they cant be hesitating, no time to stall They're gonna move on over to the wailing wall They got teenage girls driving tanks y'all They've had Moses and the prophets among their ranks, uh huh
And they know they're headed for a third world war They know they're outnumbered, but diplomacy's a bore, It's a bore Well the world has had 'em running since before they could crawl Gotta slide on over to the wailing wall
We've been too proud, too long, get ready for the fall Best be getting on over to the wailing wall, hey They put the prayers in the holes where the bullets used to be They speak their piece about life, love, country, friends and family And the chosen people know it's the place to go Not far from the temple, just a stone's throw, oh no
Well they can't be hesitating, no time to stall They're gonna move on over to the wailing wall Said the world had 'em running before they could crawl Gonna slide on over to the wailing...
