In an attempt to understand grace within a culture that has taught us you can only get what you work for, it is difficult to truly comprehend God's mercy because there is nothing we can do to earn it and nothing we can do to pay God back for it. But when we are able to come to God with nothing in our hands only asking forgiveness, it is then we find ourselves surrounded by a God who offers His grace freely and willingly. Here I am my knees are on this floor again Take away my pride, reveal this heart within And send Your rain of mercy, let the healing begin 'Cause You've brought me to this place and I can honestly say That slowly I've forgotten all the where's and why's Forgotten all the times You've been right by my side And I've begun to think that life has passed me by But it's only by Your grace that I come here and say

Slowly I'm becoming one that's more like You To live the kind of life that You would have me to But forgiveness only comes to those who ask it to So I'm asking for Your grace as I kneel here today
